I like others am experiencing random graphics corruption in the form of textures sometimes being wrong, seems to be associated with LOD too since if you zoom in the texture is correct while at farther distances it's using the incorrect texture. Most annoying is flashing water, but has any one found a proper work around for this? Has anyone tried the latest Nvidia drivers and do they fix this issue?

I don't think it's a driver issue, because I have a Radeon card and I see the exact same problem after playing for a while. It seems harmless....the game doesn't crash...but it's a bit distracting when the ground is covered in some random texture.

For some reason I am not experiencing this much lately. I can't really say what changed. The only problem I see now is that my characters face kind of melts away when zooming out some times. When it occurs I log out and back in and it goes away.

Yes I'm seeing the same here running in d3d mode. The problem seems to be that the wrong textures are "cached" for a given level of detail - i.e. if you're far away from an object a wrong texture appears but when you move closer it changes to the right one - when you zoom out again you see the wrong one once more.
An easy way to reproduce the problem (works every time for me) is to log in with one char, log out and then log on a different char. Your char will now still have some textures of the first char you logged on.
A workaround (was mentioned in another thread already) is to go to video options and and set texture resolution to low or high (the opposite of the current setting) and then click accept - this fixes corruption for a while. Zoning and logging on a different char will get you the corruption again however.
Hmm is there a way to change video options through a macro or addon? i.e. something that would allow you to get rid of it with a single button press instead of having to go through the video menu twice each time...

Did some api digging and it seems like this macro removes the graphic bugs:
/script SetBaseMip(0)
/script SetBaseMip(1)
Basically it sets texture resolution to low and then immediately to high again (if you want to run at low textures by default simply switch the 0 and 1 around) - this gets rid of the texture corruption at least until you zone/relog for the next time.
Warning: if you run in opengl mode this will almost certainly crash wow for you, or even if you run d3d it might - just don't say I didn't warn you, this has only been tested on 1 machine so far ^^
Anyways this works for me and basically allows you to get rid of the texture corruption by a single click or keypress.
Nethertheless i hope this is fixed soon in cedega but in the meantime this is the most hassle free solution to the prob i can think of...

Thanks Keltren, that's the best work around I've seen thus far, sure beats logging out and coming back in.

Awesome! That macro is the best fix for this period. Thank you for finding such a simple solution.

Oh, how I can't wait to try this out. Those bloody graphic corruptions are some of the most annoying things I've run across in getting WoW to run properly.
Thanks so much, I'll post my (hopeful) success when I get home and give it a shot.

Coming back and reading this again I realized that the warning about OpenGL is really not necessary. The graphical corruption only exists when running in D3D with GLSL disabled (shaders < 2.0.) The increase in FPS is worth running D3D over OpenGL or D3D with 2.0 shaders in my opinion though and this makes it less frustrating to do so.

It seemed to work for me as well. I didn't really notice too much of the corruption when I played last night but the macro also didn't crash anything for me, so I'd say it works pretty damn well.
Thanks again to the Cedega community.

Log out one character and log in another one. Then zoom all the way in on your characters face and start zooming out. You will almost certainly see the corruption. You can also go to Shatt and port to Undercity then look at the water. When you hit the new macro button it instantly disappears.

I'll have to give that a shot tonight when I get home. The only other thing that I've run into is a regular flicker on any water surface but that's been going on for ages and I just look elsewhere.

yup getting same thing here too. i am also getting a strange issue with the mouse pointer icon. with the mouse it will get locked into the glove and not change on mouse over. when that happens i will 9 out of 10 times crash with a memory error and have to force quit wow.
typically a logout (deal with crash) and a log back in will resolve both issues for me, but still it is more then annoying when trying to run an instance or a raid and have to tell everyone to WAIT while i log out and back in to fix my system/UI
