Okay. I tried putting the line into the WTF file, I also tried putting -opengl into the command line options of Cedega. Either way it doesn't work. I get a blank screen and everything freezes up. Sometimes the music continues playing.
Any ideas?

There are four things. In Config.WTF:
SET gxApi "opengl"
SET gxColorBits "24"
SET gxResolution "24"
Command-Line option:
"-opengl"
Make sure those are all set and try it.

i tried editing the wtf file with just tagging those on the end and with replacing the other lines that were the same. either way wow crashes.

You should be able to enable Pixel Shaders as long as you don't select 2.0. You can disable GLSL as that is only needed for Shaders 2.0. You should set scheduler to "No" and select "Decrease WineServer Priority." Other then that I really don't see a problem. I will have to compare your settings to mine when I get home as I am at work at the moment.

Have you tried any native OpenGL games to make sure OpenGL is working properly? A game like UT, UT2k3, Doom3, Quake3, Quake4, etc. etc.

A free 3d game in opengl for linux is f.e. "nexuiz". You can test ur opengl with it.
