I thought I would share this story so perhaps you might think twice about what you say and whom you are saying it to.
There I was running around doing my thing(wack'n bad monsters and pulling weeds) after a wonderful evening of pen and paper RP. When as I stand in front of an escort mob and am typing to the guy next to me asking if he wants into the quest then BAM! He starts the quest and runs off.
Well, of course I had to tell him I thought it was rude. Well this fine upstanding member of the WoW community begins a profanity laced tyraid(spelling?) into what he viewed as my equally rude behavior earlier. He also mention's how I interact with animals and how I must be buggered by members of the same sex(Not that I have a problem with that, just not my thing and I don't think its ok to use it as a slanderous statement)
My crimes?
When he drive-by buffed me I just waved, when we were in the same area I didn't thank him for killing some of the mobs that I had no intention of killing, there-by potentially saving my life.
This goes on for a while(his profanity and my chuckling), when I realized his name looked familiar. So I made a comment about him being an idiot who must live in the sticks in a particular state. Well, he says "how did you know".....do I know you?
His name is the same name as a neighbors ranch. That ranch touches my property and thus I am familiar with it.
Well, now I think I got the wee tardlet. I pose a few more questions to make sure I am noy off base, Because I am pretty sure he is one of my neighbor's(and good friend) sons. So, I grab some screenshots, make some nice copies and give my neighbor a call, off I go for some midnight coffee.
Yep, boy did I get it right. Next thing you know this kid I have known all his life, is apologizing 10 ways from Sunday to both his father and I.
Needless to say, he wont be logging onto WoW for a bit as it seems that my stable is going to be very clean since his father is sending him over tomorrow.
Be careful what you say, you just might know the person you are talking to.
Oh, good deeds are best when they are done without anticipation of reward, course a thank you doesn't hurt.
Edited to prevent eye xplosion due to wall of text.
