wat do u guys think of how u can buy your way to like lvl 70 or watever i think its crap u should just do it the old way
Buying my way to 70...It's a nice thought. New players should definitely have to level up to max level for their first character, since Blizzard put together this huge world for us to explore. It's something that the game was designed for, level up characters so you can raid/PvP with the best of them.
And that's just it, with the best of them. The best players have obviously practiced a lot, which tends to get done while leveling. You use your skills as you get them, and find creative ways to use them to their full potential. THIS is why you have to level from 1-70 when you create a new character. I remember my experience as a premade druid on the PTR, I was lost as far as what skills I should use, and when.
As for buying gold, that's a BIG no-no for me. Not only does it encourage the gold farmers to continue this sort of behavior, but it also ruins the game's economy by inflation. If I caught anybody in my guild buying gold, I'd have their head on a /gkick platter.
Just as an example, I was once grouped with another rogue in a heroic underbog. This rogue had the best BoE equips gold could buy. Double The Night Blade, etc. It was just obvious that this guy had bought his way through 1-70. He WAS combat specced, but he was never any higher than 3rd on the damage meter (as in, on everyone's damage meter). He almost never used SnD, seemed to use his skills at random (he gouged the main target in the middle of a fight...more than once), wouldn't attack the main target that was marked for clarity (and was explained at the start of the instance. skull dies first!) and was just overall bad. What REALLY took the cake was that he rolled need on a 2-handed sword. It wasn't epic or anything, just an Endbringer, but he said he "didn't realize it was two-handed" when we confronted him. Luckily, the warrior won it (he rolled need too, for a DPS sword), and the rogue went on my do-not-group-with list.
Watch out for ?…cupuncture on Magtheridon-US. The one with the circle above the A (Which may end up having his nick changed). If he acts like a scrub, let him know by kicking him. Money != skill, and you need skill to play this game right.
